Daimler Trucks North America fasteners used to connect the rear suspension spring to the suspension hanger bracket may not have been torqued to specification.
The short version
DAIMLER TRUCKS NORTH AMERICA reported a problem with the suspension rear. Here is what owners need to know.
FASTENERS USED TO CONNECT THE REAR SUSPENSION SPRING TO THE SUSPENSION HANGER BRACKET MAY NOT HAVE BEEN TORQUED TO SPECIFICATION. UNDER TORQUED FASTENERS MAY BECOME LOOSE AND POTENTIALLY FALL OUT.
LOOSE OR MISSING FASTENERS MAY ALLOW THE REAR SUSPENSION TO BECOME MISALIGNED, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
DEALERS WILL INSPECT AND ADJUST THE FASTENERS AS REQUIRED, free of charge.
