Tomberlin Automotive Group seat belt identification tag does not include the date of manufacturer.
The short version
TOMBERLIN AUTOMOTIVE GROUP reported a problem with the seat belts. Here is what owners need to know.
THE SEAT BELT IDENTIFICATION TAG DOES NOT INCLUDE THE DATE OF MANUFACTURER. ACCORDINGLY, THE SEAT BELTS FAIL TO CONFORM TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO.
IN THE EVENT OF A SAFETY ISSUE WITH THE AFFECTED SEAT BELTS, THE VEHICLE OWNER MAY NOT BE ABLE TO IDENTIFY THE SEAT BELT IF IT DOES NOT HAVE A DATE OF MANUFACTURE.
TOMBERLIN WILL NOTIFY OWNERS AND REPLACE THE SEAT BELTS FREE OF CHARGE.
