Spartan Erv cylinders on the affected vehicles may have welded rod eyes that were not properly heat treated during the manufacturing process.
The short version
Spartan ERV reported a problem with the equipment. Here is what owners need to know.
The cylinders on the affected vehicles may have welded rod eyes that were not properly heat treated during the manufacturing process.
An improperly manufactured rod eye end attachment may fracture or separate. In the event two affected cylinders are installed on the same aerial lift device, the aerial lift may retract without warning and cause severe injury and/or property damage.
Spartan ERV will notify owners, and dealers will replace the affected cylinders, free of charge.
