The short version

Vactor Manufacturing reported a problem with the equipment. Here is what owners need to know.

WHAT

These trucks were not equipped with an oil primary control. If the burner for the water heater fails to ignite normally, fuel can accumulate in the water heater combustion chamber.

WHY IT MATTERS

If fuel accumulates, when the burner is lit, there may be a larger than normal flame which could lead to a vehicle fire.

WHAT TO DO

Vactor will notify owners, and dealers will replace the burner assembly, free of charge.
