Prevost Cars cold inflation pressure shown on the certification plate is higher than the specification for the super single tires installed on the rear axle, which may lead to tire overinflation.
The short version
Prevost Cars, Inc. reported a problem with the other labels. Here is what owners need to know.
The cold inflation pressure shown on the certification plate is higher than the specification for the super single tires installed on the rear axle, which may lead to tire overinflation. Thus, these vehicles fail to conform to the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard Part 567, "Certification Regulation."
Tire overinflation may reduce traction, braking ability and handling, increasing the the risk of a crash.
Prevost will notify owners, and dealers will replace the certification plate, free of charge.
