The short version

Cheetah Chassis Corporation reported a problem with the structure. Here is what owners need to know.

WHAT

In the affected trailers, the weld joining the locator pin's shaft and collar may fail leading to a separation of the locating pin's shaft and collar.

WHY IT MATTERS

As a result, the vehicle's suspension section may become separated during the repositioning procedure and cause injury to those in close proximity to the vehicle. Additionally, the parts may separate from the vehicle and fall onto the roadway while the vehicle is in operation, which could result in serious injury to other motorists or property damage to other vehicles.

WHAT TO DO

Cheetah will notify owners and pay for installation of new locating pin assemblies that it will supply, free of charge.
