Cornelius Manufacturing in the affected trailers, the welded boxes that allows the tail to pivot may fail.
The short version
Cornelius Manufacturing, Inc. reported a problem with the structure. Here is what owners need to know.
In the affected trailers, the welded boxes that allows the tail to pivot may fail.
If the boxes fail, only the hydraulic cylinders would remain to keep the tail from separating from the main part of the trailer. Should the cylinders fail, then the tail could detach, increasing the risk of an accident.
Cornelius will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the boxes and re-weld them if necessary, free of charge.
