Honda passenger side driveshaft may break while driving due to an improper heat treatment application during manufacturing.
The short version
Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) reported a problem with the driveline driveshaft. Here is what owners need to know.
The passenger side driveshaft may break while driving due to an improper heat treatment application during manufacturing.
If the driveshaft fractures and separates while driving, the vehicle would lose power and coast to a stop. If a vehicle with a fractured driveshaft is parked without the parking brake applied, the vehicle could move unexpectedly.
Honda will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the passenger side driveshaft and replace it if necessary, free of charge.
