The short version

Ford Motor Company reported a problem with the delivery hoses, lines/piping, and fittings. Here is what owners need to know.

WHAT

In the affected vehicles, the fuel and vapor lines may have been incorrectly installed in the engine compartment, allowing the two lines to make contact.

WHY IT MATTERS

Contact between the two lines may result in abrasion and a fuel leak. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.

WHAT TO DO

Take it to a dealer — they will inspect the fuel line routing, free of charge.
