Harley-Davidson Motor Company affected vehicles may have been manufactured without lamp-outage detection for the front turn signals.
The short version
Harley-Davidson Motor Company reported a problem with the exterior lighting turn signal. Here is what owners need to know.
The affected vehicles may have been manufactured without lamp-outage detection for the front turn signals. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No.
Without the turn signal lamp outage indicator, the rider may not be aware that a front turn signal is not working. And without working front turn signals, there is an increased risk of a crash.
Harley-Davidson will notify owners, and dealers will correct the body control module software, free of charge.
