In the affected vehicles, the brake chambers may have been incorrectly mounted resulting in internal contamination of the air brake calipers.
Contamination of the calipers may cause a loss of brakes on one wheel, lengthening the distance required to stop the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Mack will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the disc brake caliper and brake chamber to determine if the washers are located in the correct position, free of charge.
