East Manufacturing Corp. affected trailers may have an insufficient amount of grease in the wheel end hubs.
The short version
East Manufacturing Corp. reported a problem with the axle non-powered axle assembly. Here is what owners need to know.
The affected trailers may have an insufficient amount of grease in the wheel end hubs.
If there is a lack of grease in the wheel end hubs, the wheel bearings may overheat, increasing the risk of a vehicle fire. There is also the possibility that the wheel can come off the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
East will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and add more grease to the wheel end hubs, as necessary, free of charge.
