The short version

Vermeer Manufacturing Company reported a problem with the exterior lighting. Here is what owners need to know.

WHAT

These models have LED side markers lights that do not have reflectors built into the lenses, reducing the visibility of the vehicle. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, " Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

WHY IT MATTERS

The absence of reflectors could reduce the ability for others to see the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

WHAT TO DO

Vermeer will notify owners, and will supply reflective decals to be installed on the trailer sides, free of charge.
