Volvo affected vehicles may be equipped with headlights that do not meet the minimum intensity requirements, resulting in insufficient illumination of the roadway.
The short version
Volvo Trucks North America reported a problem with the exterior lighting headlights. Here is what owners need to know.
The affected vehicles may be equipped with headlights that do not meet the minimum intensity requirements, resulting in insufficient illumination of the roadway. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
Headlights that provide insufficient illumination increase the risk of a crash.
Volvo will notify owners, and dealers will replace the headlights, free of charge.
