Forest River affected vehicles are equipped with a seat belts whose shoulder belt may rest at, or below, the shoulder of the seat occupant.
The short version
Forest River, Inc. reported a problem with the front anchorage. Here is what owners need to know.
The affected vehicles are equipped with a seat belts whose shoulder belt may rest at, or below, the shoulder of the seat occupant. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 209, "Seat Belt Assemblies", and 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."
If the shoulder belt rests too low on the torso, it can increase the risk of injury in the event of a crash.
Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will install new seat belt systems, free of charge.
