Mack affected trucks may be missing a roll pin to secure the upper steering yoke to the steering shaft.
The short version
Mack Trucks, Inc. reported a problem with the steering. Here is what owners need to know.
The affected trucks may be missing a roll pin to secure the upper steering yoke to the steering shaft.
If the roll pin is missing, the steering shaft may disconnect from the yoke, resulting in a complete loss of steering and increasing the risk of a crash.
Mack will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the vehicles and replace the steering shaft if the roll pin is missing, free of charge.
