Gillig driver's side window on the affected vehicles may block too much light, thereby decreasing the driver's visibility.
The short version
Gillig LLC reported a problem with the visibility glass, side/rear. Here is what owners need to know.
The driver's side window on the affected vehicles may block too much light, thereby decreasing the driver's visibility. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 205, "Glazing Materials."
Reduced driver's visibility can increase the risk of a crash.
Gillig will notify owners, and dealers will install compliant driver's windows, free of charge.
