The short version
East Manufacturing Corp. reported a problem with the other labels. Here is what owners need to know.
These trailers may have incorrect Federal Certification labels with overstated gross axle weight ratings (GAWR) and/or gross vehicle weight ratings (GVWR). As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of 49 CFR Part 567, "Certification."
If the GAWR and/or GVWR limits are overstated, the driver may overload the trailer, increasing the risk of a crash.
East will notify owners, and will supply a new Certification Label and mounting rivets, free of charge.
