Mcneilus Truck & Manufacturing backup camera display may shut off and the alarm may stop sounding if the truck is in reverse for an extended period of time.
The short version
McNeilus Truck & Manufacturing, Inc. reported a problem with the back over prevention back-up alarm. Here is what owners need to know.
The backup camera display may shut off and the alarm may stop sounding if the truck is in reverse for an extended period of time.
If the backup alarm stops emitting the alarm sound when the truck is still reversing, others may not be alerted that the truck is backing up, increasing the risk of personal injury.
Take it to a dealer — they will add a relay into the electrical circuit for the backup alarm system, free of charge.
