The short version

Wabash National Corporation reported a problem with the disc caliper. Here is what owners need to know.

WHAT

The brake caliper bolts on these axles may not be properly torqued which can allow the caliper to detach from the mounting flange. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 121, "Air Brake Systems."

WHY IT MATTERS

If the caliper bolts are improperly torqued and the caliper detaches from the mounting flange, a loss of braking ability would occur, increasing the risk of a crash.

WHAT TO DO

Wabash will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the bolts, replacing any loose or missing ones, free of charge.
