Lion in the event of a crash, the ceiling joints may separate due to being assembled incorrectly.
The short version
Lion Electric Company reported a problem with the structure body. Here is what owners need to know.
In the event of a crash, the ceiling joints may separate due to being assembled incorrectly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 221, "School Bus Body Joint Strength."
If the ceiling joint separates in the event of a crash, it can increase the risk of injury.
Lion will notify owners, and dealers will install rivets and glue to secure the joints, free of charge.
