Tap Worldwide these trailer kits were sold without the required labeling for the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (gvwr), Gross Axle Weight Rating (gawr), and cargo capacity statements.
The short version
TAP Worldwide, LLC reported a problem with the other labels. Here is what owners need to know.
These trailer kits were sold without the required labeling for the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR), Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR), and cargo capacity statements. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."
The missing labels can result in the user overloading the trailer causing a loss of control, thereby increasing the risk of a crash.
TAP will notify owners and will provide the missing labels, free of charge.
