Great Dane Trailers these trailers may have an insufficient amount of reflective conspicuity tape along the length of the trailer.
The short version
Great Dane Trailers reported a problem with the visibility. Here is what owners need to know.
These trailers may have an insufficient amount of reflective conspicuity tape along the length of the trailer. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
Without the required amount of reflective tape, the trailers visibility may be reduced to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.
Great Dane will notify owners, and dealers will install an additional 12 inches of reflective conspicuity tape on each side of the trailer, free of charge.
