Volvo sidewall steel body cords may be exposed, possibly causing unexpected, rapid air loss during use.
The short version
Volvo Trucks North America reported a problem with the tires. Here is what owners need to know.
The sidewall steel body cords may be exposed, possibly causing unexpected, rapid air loss during use. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 119, "New Pneumatic Tires - Other than Passenger Cars."
Rapid tire air loss can increase the risk of a crash.
Volvo will notify owners, instructing them to take their vehicles to Bridgestone Tire or Volvo Truck service centers for inspection and replacement, as necessary, free of charge.
