The short version

Blue Bird Body Company reported a problem with the seats. Here is what owners need to know.

WHAT

There may be an insufficient number of bolts attaching the seat to the bus floor, allowing the seat to detach from the bus floor in the event of a crash. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."

WHY IT MATTERS

In the event of a crash, if the bus seat detaches from the floor, it can increase the risk of injury.

WHAT TO DO

Blue Bird will notify owners, and dealers will install a secondary floor mounting brace, free of charge.
