The short version

Chrysler (FCA US LLC) reported a problem with the electrical system instrument cluster/panel. Here is what owners need to know.

WHAT

The instrument cluster may not properly illuminate driver warnings. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 101, "Control and Displays."

WHY IT MATTERS

Failure of the instrument cluster to properly illuminate may prevent the driver from receiving warnings about the vehicle's systems, increasing the risk of crash.

WHAT TO DO

Take it to a dealer — they will update the instrument cluster software, free of charge.
