The short version

Prevost Cars, Inc. reported a problem with the electrical system instrument cluster/panel. Here is what owners need to know.

WHAT

Due to a missing component, the driver may not be able to adjust the brightness of the dash illumination for the controls and indicators, allowing only the highest level of brightness. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 101, "Controls and Displays."

WHY IT MATTERS

During night time vehicle operation, highest level of dash brightness may reduce the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

WHAT TO DO

Prevost will notify owners, and dealers will install the missing potentiometer component and required wiring to adjust the brightness of the dash's illumination, free of charge.
