Arcimoto hydraulic brake hose assemblies do not have a "DOT" marking, and also may fail constriction testing.
The short version
Arcimoto Inc reported a problem with the foundation components hoses, lines/piping, and fittings. Here is what owners need to know.
The hydraulic brake hose assemblies do not have a "DOT" marking, and also may fail constriction testing. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 106, "Brake Hoses."
Non-compliant hydraulic brake hoses may lengthen the distance required to stop the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Arcimoto will notify owners and will replace the hydraulic brake hose assemblies, free of charge, using factory technicians.
