The short version

HME, Inc. reported a problem with the electrical system instrument cluster/panel. Here is what owners need to know.

WHAT

HME, Inc. (HME) is recalling one 2014 Ford F-550 emergency vehicle. The on-board diagnostic system may not illuminate the malfunction indicator light (MIL) on the dashboard to alert the operator when certain faults are present in the vehicle's emissions control system.

WHY IT MATTERS

The driver may be unaware of issues with the emissions system, which could result in a loss of drive power and increase the risk of a crash.

WHAT TO DO

Take it to a dealer — they will reprogram the PCM, free of charge.
