Bentley front seat belt assemblies may have been incorrectly installed, resulting in the front passenger seat missing the automatic locking retractor (ALR).
The short version
Bentley Motors, Inc. reported a problem with the front retractor. Here is what owners need to know.
The front seat belt assemblies may have been incorrectly installed, resulting in the front passenger seat missing the automatic locking retractor (ALR). As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."
A missing ALR on a passenger seat belt may not properly secure a child restraint, increasing the risk of injury in a crash.
Take it to a dealer — they will inspect and, if necessary, replace the affected seat belt, free of charge.
