Nissan hydraulic brake booster assembly may overheat internally, resulting in a loss of power brake assist.
The short version
Nissan North America, Inc. reported a problem with the power assist hydraulic. Here is what owners need to know.
The hydraulic brake booster assembly may overheat internally, resulting in a loss of power brake assist. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 135, "Light Vehicle Brake Systems."
A loss of power brake assist can extend the distance required to stop the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Take it to a dealer — they will replace the hydraulic brake booster supply unit, free of charge.
