Toyota load carrying capacity modification label may indicate less weight than the actual total weight of accessories installed on the vehicle.
The short version
Gulf States Toyota, Inc. reported a problem with the other labels. Here is what owners need to know.
The load carrying capacity modification label may indicate less weight than the actual total weight of accessories installed on the vehicle. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."
An incorrect label may lead to unintentionally overloading the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
GST will mail replacement labels to owners, free of charge.
