Vinfast software error may cause the multifunction head unit (MHU) display to go blank.
The short version
VinFast Auto, LLC reported a problem with the electrical system instrument cluster/panel. Here is what owners need to know.
A software error may cause the multifunction head unit (MHU) display to go blank. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 101, "Control and Displays."
A blank MHU display will not show critical safety information, such as the speedometer or warning lights, which may increase the risk of a crash.
VinFast will update the software, free of charge.
