The short version

Polaris Industries Inc. reported a problem with the back over prevention display function. Here is what owners need to know.

WHAT

After shifting out of reverse, the rearview camera image may freeze and display a blank screen if shifted into reverse again. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."

WHY IT MATTERS

The loss of the rearview camera image while in reverse can reduce the driver's rear visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

WHAT TO DO

Take it to a dealer — they will update the Ride Command software, free of charge.
