Autocar hazard warning lights may not function independent of the ignition switch.
The short version
Autocar, LLC reported a problem with the hazard flashing warning lights switch. Here is what owners need to know.
The hazard warning lights may not function independent of the ignition switch. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
Warning lights that do not illuminate when the ignition switch is in the OFF position can reduce the vehicle's visibility to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.
