The short version

FR Conversions reported a problem with the seats. Here is what owners need to know.

WHAT

The recliner mechanism may not engage when the seat back is fully reclined. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."

WHY IT MATTERS

The seat back could release when force is applied to the shoulder belt, increasing the risk of injury during a crash.

WHAT TO DO

Take it to a dealer — they will inspect and repair the seats as necessary, free of charge.
