The short version
Spartan Fire, LLC reported a problem with the service brakes, air. Here is what owners need to know.
The service brake may take longer than expected to engage. As such, these vehicles may fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 121, "Air Brake Systems."
A delayed brake engagement can extend the distance required to stop, increasing the risk of a crash.
