Forest River federal Placard indicates 30 seat-belted positions in the rear, when the correct number of belted positions is 3.
The short version
Forest River, Inc. reported a problem with the other labels. Here is what owners need to know.
The Federal Placard indicates 30 seat-belted positions in the rear, when the correct number of belted positions is 3. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 120, "Wheels and Rims - Other than Passenger Cars" and 49 CFR Part 567, "Certification."
Incorrect seating capacity information may lead to overloading the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Forest River will mail owners new Federal Placards, free of charge.
