The short version

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) reported a problem with the exterior lighting tail lights. Here is what owners need to know.

WHAT

The vehicles are equipped with incorrect tail lights that may be obstructed by the spare tire. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

WHY IT MATTERS

Obstructed tail lights can reduce the vehicle's visibility to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.

WHAT TO DO

Take it to a dealer — they will replace the tail lights, free of charge.
