Forest River side marker lights may not reflect light as intended, which can make it difficult for other drivers to see the trailer.
The short version
Forest River, Inc. reported a problem with the exterior lighting. Here is what owners need to know.
The side marker lights may not reflect light as intended, which can make it difficult for other drivers to see the trailer. As such, these trailers fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
Insufficiently reflective side marker lights can reduce the trailer's visibility to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.
Take it to a dealer — they will install reflector stickers to the lights, free of charge.
