The short version

Nikola Corporation reported a problem with the electrical system instrument cluster/panel. Here is what owners need to know.

WHAT

A resistor may degrade, causing the instrument panel to fail. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 101, "Control and Displays."

WHY IT MATTERS

An instrument panel that fails to display critical safety information, such as the speedometer or warning lights, increases the risk of a crash.

WHAT TO DO

Take it to a dealer — they will replace the instrument panel, free of charge.
