The short version

VANCRAFT LLC reported a problem with the seats critical fasteners. Here is what owners need to know.

WHAT

The reinforcement hardware, mounting hardware, and seat belt anchor bolts in the rear bench seating system may fail under load. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 207, "Seating Systems" and 209, "Seat Belt Assemblies."

WHY IT MATTERS

Hardware failure may prevent the seat and/or seatbelt from adequately restraining an occupant, increasing the risk of injury during a crash.

WHAT TO DO

Take it to a dealer — they will install new seat belt anchor hardware, flooring reinforcement, and reinforced bench seat bars, free of charge.
