Maserati central Vision Park Assist Module (CVPAM) software may prevent the rearview image from displaying when the vehicle is placed in reverse.
The short version
Maserati North America, Inc. reported a problem with the back over prevention software. Here is what owners need to know.
The Central Vision Park Assist Module (CVPAM) software may prevent the rearview image from displaying when the vehicle is placed in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."
An inoperative rearview camera display reduces the driver's rear visibility, increasing the risk of injury or crash.
Take it to a dealer — they will update the CVPAM software, free of charge.
