Ram incorrect headlight module software may cause the headlights to become inoperative.
The short version
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) reported a problem with the electrical system software. Here is what owners need to know.
Incorrect headlight module software may cause the headlights to become inoperative. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
Inoperative headlights can reduce visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
Take it to a dealer — they will update the headlight module software, free of charge.
