Orange Ev frame extenders obstruct the rear turn signals, reverse, brake, and taillights.
The short version
Orange EV reported a problem with the exterior lighting. Here is what owners need to know.
The frame extenders obstruct the rear turn signals, reverse, brake, and taillights. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
Obstructed rear lights can reduce the vehicle's visibility to pedestrians or other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.
OEV will relocate the rear taillights and replace the original with combination lights, free of charge.
