The short version

BMW of North America, LLC reported a problem with the doors lock. Here is what owners need to know.

WHAT

WHY IT MATTERS

Doors that can be inadvertently unlocked and unlatched may open unexpectedly, increasing the risk of injury to rear seat occupants.

WHAT TO DO

Take it to a dealer — they will replace the second-row seat side door locking modules, free of charge.
