The side and rear reflectors insufficiently reflect light. As such, these lights fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
Without properly reflective equipment, it may be difficult for other road users to see the vehicle from the rear or side, increasing the risk of a crash.
E-Z-Go or Cushman will mail new reflectors to owners, and dealers will be able to install, free of charge.
