The short version

Orange EV reported a problem with the tires. Here is what owners need to know.

WHAT

The rear Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) on the federal placard is incorrect and the installed tires and rims may be inadequate for the truck's intended use. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 120, "Wheels and Rims - Other Than Passenger Cars."

WHY IT MATTERS

An incorrect GAWR and an inadequate tire and rim combination can lead to unintentionally overloading the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

WHAT TO DO

OEV will replace the federal placard, free of charge.
