Mercedes-Benz fixate stop bracket on the driver's seat backrest may not be installed.
The short version
Daimler Coaches North America reported a problem with the seats. Here is what owners need to know.
The fixate stop bracket on the driver's seat backrest may not be installed. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 207, "Seating Systems," and 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."
Without a fixate stop bracket, the backrest may fold forward during a crash and increase the risk of injury.
Daimler Coaches will inspect the driver's seat and install a fixate stop as necessary, free of charge.
