Shyft Group passenger jump seat mounting bolts may not have been properly tightened.
The short version
Shyft Group reported a problem with the seats critical fasteners. Here is what owners need to know.
The passenger jump seat mounting bolts may not have been properly tightened. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 207, "Seating Systems."
A seat with loose bolts may not properly restrain an occupant during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
Take it to a dealer — they will inspect and tighten the jump seat mounting bolts, as necessary, free of charge.
